RHINELAND RAID
NAZI FIGHTER DESTROYED. BRITISH PLANE MISSING FROM DAY PATROL. ' (British Official Wireless.) f (Received This Day, 11.0 a.m.) RUGBY, June 17. An Air Ministry communique issued last night states: “Industrial objectives in the Ruhr and Rhineland were attacked by the Bomber Command. Mines were also laid in enemy waters. We lost eight bombers. One enemy fighter was destroyed by our bombers on these operations. One of our fighters is missing from a daylight offensive patrol over France yesterday.”
