Broadcasting from New Delhi today, the Duke of Gloucester delivered to the peoples of India a message from the King in which he expressed the hope that he would be able to visit India after the war. ; The Maharaja of Nepal, in a message to the Duke, said: “I give you the assurances of my wholehearted support for the British cause.” The Duke replied: “I am most grateful for your loyal assurances. Your contribution to the common cause is already great and is deeply appreciated.”
