The police today reported the arrest of Karl von Steinson, a former German Consul, for alleged espionage. The police said they had found records of payments for espionage activities, including 75 dollars monthly to a reporter for ship data on arrival. It is alleged that the reporter received 500 dollars to sabotage an Army plane, resulting in an accident in which a military pilot was seriously injured. The reporter had free access to an aerodrome.
