The French Fascist leader, Doriot, it is stated, was concluding his lecture to a crowded house (at Rennes) when a Sand-grenade, thrown from the second gallery, would have exploded in the orchestral stalls but for the coolness of a woman who diverted the grenade, which burst in the orchestra pit and caused considerable damage. One person was slightly injured. The police searched the auditorium, but so far have failed to find the bomb-thrower.
