BLACK-OUT TRIAL MANY FAILURES TO OBSERVE REGULATIONS. ("Times-Age” Special.) Featherston’s first blackout trial was held on Sunday night. Punctually at 8.30 the sirens sounded but although notice of the trial had been well advertised, it was found that there were many people who had failed to observe the provisions of the blackout. These offenders will be notified that in future further steps will be taken to enforce the regulations. United Service. There was a very large congregation; at the Citizens’ Wai’ Time United Service, held in the Town Hall last evening. The preacher was the Rev. H. S. Kings (Masterton). The united choirs sang Robertson’s anthem, “All in the April Evening.” Personal. Private F. C. Lomas and Mrs Lomas. Ngaio, visited relatives in Featherston for the weekend. Miss Milly Talbot, of Gisborne, is visiting her brother, Mr F. Talbot, and Mrs Talbot. COSY THEATRE “BUSMAN’S HONEYMOON.” The year’s laugh and love mystery thriller—“Busman’s Honeymoon,” will be shown on Wednesday night. It is a riot of fun and thrills with Robert Montgomery, Constance Cummings and Leslie Banks in the leading roles.
