MASTERTON SALE DROP IN WETHER LAMB PRICES. FAT SHEEP MAKE LATE RATES. The Associated Auctioneers report as follows on their Masterton sale yesterday:— A small yarding of only average quality sheep were offered. The yarding comprised mostly wether lambs for which there was a decided easing off. at least 2s per head. The shorn wether lambs offered were not a top line quality. Ewe lambs and blackface lambs sold at late rates. A small yarding of fat ewes offered sold on a par with previous sales. A consignment of hacks on account of Tora Station met with spirited competition. The following arc a few of the values realised: — Sheep: Fat wethers. 22s 4d. 22s- 6d: fat b.f. lambs. 19s. 20s 2d. 22s 6d: fat ewes. 7s 6d, 10s to 10s 6d: f. and f. b.f. lambs, 19s 4d. 19s 8d; medium b.f. lambs, 14s 9d, 15s 3d: w.w. lambs, 13s to 15s 6d; shorn wether lambs, 6s 4d to 10s; w. ewe lambs. 10s 6d, 14s 2d. 16s 7d. 19s (id: sh. ewe lambs. 12s 6d; 2-th. ewes, 18s 3d; 5yr. ewes, 12s 9d; m.a. b.f. ewes, 12s 9d; s.m. ewes, Ils 6d. Cattle: Fat cows, ex-dairy. £4 5s to £4 8s; 1 heifer and calf. £2 2s; Jersey bull. 12s. Horses: Draught horses, all work, up to £l3: hacks, a/c Tora Station. £4 to £l4 10s.
