METHODIST CHURCH SUCCESSFUL GARDEN PARTY. ("Times-Age” Special.) A successful garden party was held by the Methodist Church at the residence of Mr J. H. Baillie, Newman Road. The Ladies’ Guild were responsible for arrangements for the gathering and the Young Women’s Bible Class rendered valuable assistance in connection with the games, stalls, and afternoon tea. A Worthy Action. The following Brownies gave the proceeds from their collection of ergot to the Borough. Ladies’ Committee to provide a comfort for a soldier; —Audrey Johanson, Annette Evans, Dawn Farrow, Phyllis Pickering, Judy Ward, Yvonne Bouzaid, Carol Bowering, Lois Bowering, Marjorie Brown, Stephanie Daniel, Eileen Ryan, Margaret Hart, Margaret Daniel, Mary Williams, Diana McAlister, Mary Christie. Personal. Mr H. Durle has returned home from a visit to Gisborne.
