FEATHERSTON
HOME GUARD USEFUL TRAINING OPERATIONS. (“Times-Age” Special.) During the week-end, Nos. 1 and 2 Platoons of the Home Guard carried out useful training operations, the former at Western Lake and the latter on the Rimutaka Road.
' Personal Items. Miss G. Vickers has returned to Wellington after having spent the weekend in Featherston. Mr Arthur C. Stansell, Auckland, is visiting relatives in Featherston. Mrs Terris, Wellington, has been the guest of Mrs J. Mutter. Sister Molly Cundy, who has been home on week-end leave, returned to Waiouru Camp yesterday. Mrs W. Lovegrove, who has been visiting relatives at Pirinoa and Featherston, has returned to Auckland. Miss Helen Cowie, Wellington, is spending a holiday with Mrs Lovegrove. COSY THEATRE WEDNESDAY’S PROGRAMME. In addition to the evening session, there will be a special matinee of ‘'Untamed'’ on Wednesday. This is a stirring film, with Ray Milland and Patricia Morison in the leading roles. (Recommended by Censor for Adults.)
