TWO CALLS TO A r IRE A WASHHOUSE DESTROYED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Greytown Fire Brigade received a call at 8.45 o’clock this morning to a fire in a washhouse at Nurse Dunn s private hospital. On the way to the fire the engine was stopped in the centre of the town where it was discovered that a gas ring had burnt a hole through the floor* of a room in Messrs Thompson and Tate’s office This fire was first dealt with and then the brigade proceeded to attend to the original call. The use of a garden hose kept the fire from the main building, but the washhouse and its contents were totally destroyed.
