4. REPORT TO PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY. The report of the Church Worship Committee was presented to the Presbyterian General Assembly by the Rev. H. H. Barton who stressed the obligation on ministers to adhere to the Assembly calendar of special services. Speaking to the report Dr. Salmond said there was need today that the sense of Divine vocation should be re, stored to man’s daily work. The great tragedy of the 19th century was the divorce of religion from industrial and commercial life. If people had a greater sense of Christian vocation in their work, whether it be by hand or by brain, many of our social problems would vanish. He suggested a special Sunday when the dignity of human labour and the need for the relating of worship and work would be proclaimed by means of radio, Press, and pulpit.” '
