R.A.F. ACTIVE IN WESTERN DESERT . DESTRUCTION OF ENEMY VEHICLES. FURTHER HEAVY DAMAGE AT BENGHAZI. LONDON. June 20. A R.A.F. Middle East communique states that offensive patrols in the Western Desert were continued yesterday. A number of enemy motor vehicles were destroyed. Another attack was made on the harbour of Benghazi and heavy damage was done. Two South African Air Force pilots reported missing on June 1G have returned safely. They were shot down, but not until they had destroyed four enemy machines.
