WEDDING
WILSON—MACKAY. ■ A wedding of considerable interest took place on Saturday evening at Knox Church. Masterton, when Marjorie Graham, second daughter of Mr and Mrs IVI. G. Mackay, Cornwall Street, was married to Eric Stephen Wilson, second son of Mrs W. Wilson, Wrigley Street. Masterton. The officiating minister was the Rev. D. McNeur and Mr C. W. Kerry presided at the organ. Escorted by her father the bride made a charming picture in her white silk embossed taffeta Princess gown, with an oval train, the back being fln.ished with tiny buttons and loops. The long sleeves were pointed over the hands. Her white embroidered tulle veil was fashioned in Mantilla style, and fell to form a second train. A striking finish to the bridal toilette was a shower bouquet of dark red roses, The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Ruth Mackay (chief), Misses Joan and Nola Wilson (sisters of the bridegroom), and Miss Nancy McGuire (Wellington), a cousin of the bride. They were frocked alike in gowns of apple green georgette made with pretty shirred bodices and very full skirts. Their peasant belts were each laced with a silver cord, the long ends being finished with silver tassels. Smaller silver tassels trimmed the shirred sleeves and'silver headbands and shoes completed their ensemble. They each wore a string of Richelieu pearls and carried a dainty posy of pastel tinted flowers and ferns. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Alan Goosman (Auckland). Messrs Alan Rigg, Ken Forrest, and Alan Mackay acted as groomsmen. The ushers were Messrs G. Ayson and G. Buick.
During the signing of the register a violin solo was rendered by Mr Graeme Ayson (Wellington). Mr Kerry accompanied him on the organ. The reception, which was followed by a dance, was held in the Municipal Social Hall. Beautiful hydrangeas and greenery were used for the decorations. Mrs Mackay, assisted by Mrs Wilson, received the guests, wearing a gown of teal blue lace and a fur cape and velour hat in a matching shade finished with an ostrich feather. Her bouquet was of fuschia toned flowers. Mrs Wilson chose a frock of Burgundy satin backed crepe, witn a toque and grey fur coatee. She carried a bouquet in autumn tunings. Mr and Mrs Wilson left later on their wedding tour, the bride travelling in a smart costume of forest green tweed with striped coat and plain skirt. A smart rust velour hat. rust shoes and handbag completed the ensemble. She also.carried a fur coat. Mr and Mrs E. S. Wilson will reside in Masterton. The bride was the guest of honour at several parties during the past week.
