NO SERIOUS DAMAGE DONE MESSERSCHMITT SHOT DOWN. BRITISH PLANE ALSO LOST BUT PILOT SAFE. Enemy fighters and bombers flew over Malta on Saturday night, the 8.8. C. reports, and dropped a number of bombs, without causing serious damage. A Messerschmitt 109 was shot down. A British fighter was also subsequently shot dov?n, but the pilot is safe.
