(Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) RUGBY, April 14. - An Air Ministry communique states: “On Sunday, aircraft of the Bomber Command attacked enemy shipping off the Dutch and Gorman coasts. A supply ship of about 1,500 tons was hit by two bombs and her decks were ma-chine-gunned. Her funnel was seen to fall and when she was. last, seen the ship was well down by the stern. A naval patrol vessel and a supply ship of about 2,000. lons were also bombed and machine-gunned. From these operations one of our aircraft is missing.

•■l,a.''-I night, bombers of the same command continued their attack on the IVlerignac aerodrome, near Bordeaux. Buildings were hit and hangars were seen burning. Docks at Bordeaux were also attacked. None of our aircraft are missing from these night operations.”
