BUCHANAN HOME
CHRISTMAS VISIT. BY ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY. Members of the St. Vincent De Paul Society, Masterton. paid their annual Christmas visit to the Buchanan Home yesterday afternoon and entertained the inmates with an excellent musical programme. The inmates thoroughly appreciated the items. Mrs. J. R. Dickson, Misses E. Corlett, B. Hirst. Messrs H. Hall, F. Price, Corlett and Jack Ryan contributed numbers to the programme. Afternoon tea was dispensed. Mr. Ben Roberts, M.P., thanked the performers and the Society for their kindness and extended to all, on behalf of the inmates, the season’s greetings.
Mr. L. Robinson, president of the St. Vincent De Paul Society, reciprocated the greetings. The visitors were entertained at afternoon tea by the matron and staff.
