Pockets of Resistance Being Cleared Up STRONGHOLD EFFECTIVELY ISOLATED more air attacks on enemy bases The latest news of the fighting in North Africa ib given in a communique from British General Headquarters in Cairo, BB C broadcast states. Reinforcements are steadily reaching the'troops in the Bardia area. A further seven guns have been collected from enemy outposts recently occupied. Otherwise the situation is unchanged. Other reports state that north-west of Bardia, British mechanised forces are destroying odd pockets still offering resistance and are making sure that Marshal Graziani shall not be able to reinforce the garrison at Bardia. R.A.F. bombers have again heavily attacked Benghazi and another enemy base in Libya. Bombs were seen to burst close to warships at Benghazi. Numerous reconnaissance flights have been made in the Bardia and Tobruk areas.
