GREYHOUND RACING
NORTH ISLAND ASSOCIATION FORMED. CONFERENCE IN MASTERTON. At a conference held at Masterton yesterday delegates representing Wellington. Wairarapa. Wanganui, Dannevirkc, Hawke's Bay and the Hastings greyhound racing and coursing clubs, it was unanimously decided to form a North Island Greyhound Racing Association. Hastings was fixed for the headquarters until the first annual conference was held at Wanganui in the New Year. Provisional officers were elected as follow: President, Mr V. Z. Langvad (Hastings); vice-president, Mr C. S. Drinkwater (Dannevirke); secretarytreasurer. Mr H. Kay (Hastings); executive, Messrs A. Flail (Wellington). H. E. Connop (Wanganui), H. Wall (Wairarapa), R. Croft (Dannevirke), H. Fanning (Hawke's Bay); and F. Tierney (Hastings). It was agreed that the control of the Nbrth Isldnd Coursing Cup for an unlimited number of dogs at £4 4s each be allotted to to the Wairarapa Club to bo held some time in July. Applications for the control of the New Zealand grayhound fiat racing championship would close with the secretary on January 1. Details in connection with the registration of dogs. etc. were finalised.
