REPORTED SENTENCES FINES & IMPRISONMENT. WITH STAY OF EXECUTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) TOKIO, October 2. The British Embassy said that of the seven convicted Britons, J. H. James was fined 500 yen, without trial; E. W. James, MacNaughton, Drummond, 200 yen, without trial; Michael Ringer 14 months’ imprisonment, with four years’ stay of execution; Vanya Ringer, fined 150 yen and also sentenced to eighteen months’ imprisonment, with a fouryear stay or execution; Trafford was released, after a trial, without a sentence. The other three are still under investigation.
