PEDESIRIAN HIT BY CAR

NAPIER. May 5.
Serious injuries were received by. a pedestrian when he .was struck by a motor-car in Battery Road at about 630 last evening. He is Stephen Whittingham, old ago pensioner, Goldsmith Road. Napier. A motorist has been arrested. ,and will be charged in the Magistrates’ Court. Napier, tomorrow, with an offence arising out ol this accident. Mr Whittingham is in Napier Hospital. and his condition is reported to be serious. _____________
