VATICAN PAPER

PHENOMENAL INCREASE IN CIRCULATION IMPARTIAL PRESENTATION OF WAR NEWS. SUPPRESSION DEMANDED BY FASCIST ORGAN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 1.15 p.m.) ROME. April 30. A phenomenal increase in the popularity of the “Osservatore Romano,” is due to the impartiality of its war news presentation, and has resulted in Farinaccis’s ‘-Regime Fascista" asking whether “the time has not come to suppress this paper—the servant of Italy’s enemies and obvious spokesman of the .Tews.”

The “Osservatore's” circulation has increased from 9000 to 200,000 since the outbreak of war, and is now the largest in Italy.
