PRICES IMPROVE AT MASTERTON TODAY'S STOCK SALE. The Associated Auctioneers report as follows their weekly sale held today: —A good yarding of all classes of sheep came forward before a good attendance of buyers. Competition throughout was keen and prices for fat sheep showed an improvement on last week’s sale. Store wethers and good wether hoggets were also in good demand, and sold at late rates A total clearance was affected under the hammer, and the following list of principal sales will indicate values-— Fat sheep: Fat two-tooth ’wethers (heavy), 24s 9d to 25s 3d; fat two-tooth b.l. wethers, 24s 3d, fat two-tooth weticrs (light) 225; fat ewes (good), 16s : la \ ewCS ni g h tand unlinish?r\A 2s l o 6d t 0 14s 6d; fat S;D ' ewes (light), 13s; fat lambs, 20s to 235. Store sheep: Account C. H. Vallancc, Ngatahuna, 208 two-tooth wethors, 20s 6d; two-tooth wethers from 18s Gd to 20s; woolly wether lambs (medium). 9s Gd to Ils Gd; woolly wether lambs (small), 8s to 8s 9d; woolly ewe lambs (good), 23s to 245; ewe lambs (small) 13s 4d to 15s Gd; black face lambs 13s 9d; store ewes, 8s to 10s 2d.
Pigs: Slips, 10s, 13s. 13s Gd and 14s Gd.
