ALFREDTON PICTURES

"FISHERMAN’S WHARF.” Bobby Breen and a trained seal will be seen in a novel palship in "Fisherman's Wharf,” which is to be shown at Alfredton on Thursday with Leo Carrillo. Henry Armetta and Lee Patrick in the supporting roles. The photoplay is also savoured with other distinguished entertainment qualities a dash of sparkling music and song, a pmeh of romance and a large measure of adventure and comedy. The story is one of simplicity and human interest —a tale of Bobby, Slicker the Seal, and Bobby’s foster father. Leo Carrillo, all of whom reside at the foot of San Francisco's famous Taylor Street, at lhe head of the original Fisherman’s Wharf. Into their lives come Lee Patrick and her trouble-making son. Tommy Bupp.. Together they combine to upset the peaceful lives of the tiny Italian colony, until Bobby, in a moment of desperation, challenges the larger youngster and in the fight that ensues, the parents, too. become embroiled. Neither camera nor microphone has ever done better justice to Bobby Breen. In the character of the son of a Sicilian fisherman, he is photographed in a role that seems particularly adaptable to his personality. No longer a child protege, he stands solidly on his own tw'o feet and gives lhe screen one of its finest juvenile performances. His voice, too. has taken on added surety and colour until at times he is reminiscent of an ole* ven-vear-old Caruso.
