RIVERSIDE CLUB EASTER TOURNAMENT. LIST OF PRIZE WINNERS. The Easter tournament held over the weekend by the Riverside Golf Club, under ideal conditions, proved a very successful and enjoyable outing to club members, besides a number of players from clubs throughout the district.

The following were the eight players to qualify for the championship: Messrs D. Carruthers, F. Pool. J. Donald, O. Williams, R. Wearne, R. Harrington, L. Roff and B. Braggins. The final was played yesterday afternoon and resulted in a win for O. Williams (Tyneside), D. Carruthers being run-ner-up. Each round was keenly contested, but experience told in the final. Carruthers was not disgraced, however, and showed great promise for such a young player. The Easter Handicap was won by C. Anderson, with J. Wakelin runner-up. The pair were all square at the eighteenth, Anderson putting up a birdie to win the match.

The Riverside Handicap was won by R. Harrington (Carterton) with R. Wearne runner-up.

The Consolation Handicap went to J. Armstrong (Tyneside)., C. Leigh being runner up. Competitions were won as follow: First medal round: D. Carruthers 65, 1. Second medal round: C. Leigh and C. Anderson, equal, 68. Stableford: W. Nielson. 37. Bogey round: W. Petty. 2 up. Third medal: H. Clarkson. 63. Four ball bogey: R. Wearne and R. Harrington, and R. Wellington and T. Wellington, equal 5 up. The prizes were presented by the president, Mr J. Hume, who complimented the winners on their success. On behalf of the visitors Mr R. Harrington thanked the club officials for providing such an enjoyable outing. The catering of Mrs Turner was thoroughly appreciated.
