The following bulletin regarding the condition of (lie Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. .1, Savage. v?as issued by his medical advisenfi at 9 o'clock last night:— “The Prime Minister's condition this evening is weaker.” The following motion, proposed by the national president. Mr J. Roberts, was carried unanimously at the New Zealand Labour Party conference in Wcl I ingto n yesterday: — “Wo, the delegates to this conference, express our deep regret and sorrow at the serious illness of the Prime Minister and record our high appreciation of the great work that he has done as leader of the party and as the first Labour Prime Minister for the people of New Zealand and the cause of humanity in general. Wo’ express cur admiration for the brave and noble spirit Mr Savage has consistently shown in facing without complaint the pain and dangers of his illness, and specially in his faithful, adherence to his high and responsible duties at a period of great personal suffering. We send from this conference to his sickbed the sincere sympathy and love of all the delegates and of the P Labour movement generally. We feel we are speaking for the people of the Dominion as a whole in conveying our earnest hope that he will be restored to health and be spared once more to lead New Zealand to even greater heights of wellbeing and happiness.”
