“HAPPY LANDING”

TO RE STAGED LOCALLY. The committee of the Masterton Municipal Band have made arrangements with Mr W. Lints, of Reveille fame, to produce his big Musical Review "Happy Landing." Mr Lints travels with £l.OOO worth of scenery, properties and effects, and also 500 costumes for his new show. There are 41 different features and specialties which include 10 clever sketches, seven ballets featuring the streamline, flying, cloud and long frock. There are 19 song hits, all supported by special choruses or dances. The opening and final scenes with propeller and revolving effects cannot be better explained than as brilliant stage spectacles. Wardrobe will be supplied free to performers. The following extract from a Hawke's Bay paper will give an idea of the nature of the production:—• "Happy Land is a great success .... The show pulsates with tuneful choruses. smart dressing, amusing sketches, dance numbers both ballet and individaulistic, with several dazzling ensembles.” The production will be staged in about six weeks at the Opera House.
