Following on the expansion of British trade in December, imports and exports in January rose by nearly 31 millions compared with January last year. Details are: —Imports, £104.961.117 an increase of £29,389.330: exports, £410.735 574. an increase of £16,939.976. Imports of manufactured oils, fats and rosins totalled £8.600.369. an increase of £4 811.869.
