CHURCH SERVICES

In the Methodist Church on Sunday the Rev Robert Dickie will conduct the services, morning and evening, giving messages appropriate to the last Sunday of the Old Year. At the Kuripuni Methodist Church tomorrow, the morning service at 11 a.m. will be conducted by Mr F. G. Rutter. The Masterton Baptist Fellowship will hold a meeting on Sunday morning, at 11 o’clock, in the Y.M.C.A. Hail. It will be conducted by Mr W. Teeboon. Visitors and friends will be made welcome. The services at the Presbyterian Church tomorrow morning and evening will be conducted by the Rev. J. The Holy Communion will be celebrated at 8 a.m. The preacher at 11 a.m. will be the Rev. Harry Squires, Wellington City Missioner. The Rt. Rev. G. V. Gerard, M.C., M.A., Bishop of Waiapu, will preach at 7 p.m. Celebrations will be held at Rangitumau at 9.30 a.m., and Kopuaranga at 10.30 a.m. There will be services at Brancepeth at 3 p.m., and at ) Kuripuni at 7 p.m. The Rev. J. M. Simpson, 8.A., will preach at the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church tomorrow morning and evening. His morning subject will be “The Spirit-filled Life',’’ and in the evening he will speak on “The Unchanging, Ever-abiding Christ.” Services will be held by the Church of Christ at the Oddfellows’ Hall tomorrow morning and evening. The services at the Salvation Army tomorrow will be conducted by Major and Mrs Mahaffie. At the morning service Major Mahaffie will take for his subject, “The Safeguarded Life,” and at the evening service his subject will be, “Security for the Future.” All are heartily invited to the Army’s* services.
