ISSUING OF NEWS TO RADIO. PROTEST IN GREAT BRITAIN. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. LONDON. December 29. The London Printing Trades Federation passed a resolution strongly protesting against the “preferential treatment accorded the British Broadcasting Corporation regarding the dissemination of news." Speakers declared that this adversely affected the employment of workers on the newspaper side. The federation demanded an immediate cessation of the discrimination, which was placing the Press at a disadvantage. It cited the inadequate account given to the Press of a recent flight over Germany, though the pilot was allowed to broadcast incidents and details, and Mr Churchill’s premature radio announcement of the arrival of the Canadian contingent.
