“THEY SHALL HAVE MUSIC”
FAMOUS VIOLINIST FEATURED. Considered to have box-office possibilities far beyond the bounds of prophecy, Samuel Goldwyn’s "They Shall Have Music,” starring world-famous violinist, Jascha Heifetz, arrived in New Zealand last week and was passed by the Censor for general exhibition. “They Shall Have Music” breaks entirely new ground in motion picture entertainment.
Other films have attempted to exploit musical genius; but in doing so have either sacrificed story, strength to enable the artist to display his musical ability, or have tried to turn a concert performer into a dramatic actor —usually with unfortunate results. Mr Goldwyn has avoided both those pitfalls in “They Shall Have Music.”
