Twoyear steers, and yearling steers met with a better demand than was first anticipated, taking into consideration the value offered for bullocks. Most of the grown bullocks were passed in. The sum of £7 17s 6d was realised for a nice line of Ngaturi hill-grown cattle, while £6 17s was paid for the top line of a two-year P.A. steers of good, and showing quality. In the yarding of yearling, steers a choice line of P.A. cattle was offered and keenly sought after, and the realisation (£4 15s) was to be appreciated on inspection of the cattle. Fat cattle were a scarce commodity, and there was keen competition for bullocks and cows showing quality and finish.
