GROW VEGETABLES
ADVICE OF THE MAYOR OF MASTERTON.
SECTIONS OF LAND AVAILABLE
Another appeal to residents to grow as many vegetables as possible was made this morning by the Mayor, Mr T. Jordan, who urged citizens to utilise their ground to the best advantage by intensive cultivation. In view of conditions generally, vegetables were likely to command good prices and if householders grew most if not all of their supplies, it would be both profitable and healthful. The present period of the year allowed full opportunity to be taken of the planting season.
Mr Jordan added that a publicspirited citizen had offered the use of two sections for the growing of vegetables to anyone who had insufficient ground at his disposal. Anyone wishing to take advantage of this offer should communicate with Mr Jordan.
