FLIGHT TO ENGLAND
NINE POLISH AIRMEN CROSS NORTH SEA. CONTINUALLY CHASED DURING JOURNEY. LONDON, September 26.
It is revealed that nine Polish airmen landed somewhere in England last night after a hazardous flight over the North Sea from Poland. The pilots took of! from Warsaw last week while the city was being bombarded and had to dodge anti -aircraft fire as they flew over the Nazi lines. One pilot, interview, stated: “We want to join (he forces of the Allies and fight again to help regain our country. We were continually chased during the journey and barely escaped destruction while crossing the frontier.”
