IN NEW ZEALAND’S WAR PLANS STATEMENT BY MR FRASER. COMMENT ON DAVENTRY BROADCAST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. An announcement from Daventry yesterday that New Zealand had offered a fully equipped division for service in any part of the world does not indicate any new development of Government policy. This was made cleatin an interview yesterday by the Act-ing-Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, who said the Daventry statement was nothing more than a week-old and belated condensation of his statement made in the House of Representatives.

The 8.8. C. broadcast stated that the Chief of the General Staff in New Zealand had ordered simultaneous mobilisation in New Zealand and in London for the force.

“The preparations that are being made here are certainly such as will enable a division to be made available in due course, either here or abroad in any part of the world, if and when the circumstances may require it,” said Mr Fraser, “but the announcement is simply a deduction from my statement that all our resources are at the disposal of the United Kingdom, and the position has not changed since I made my statement in Parliament.”
