WEDDING
SMITH—BROWN. The wedding took place at the Methodist Parsonage, Masterton, recently, when Jean Isobel, ybungest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. E. Brown, of Masterton, was married to William Joseph, fourth son of Mr and the late Mrs R. J. Smith, also of Masterton, the ceremony being performed by the Rev F. J. Parker. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a navy blue costume with accessories to tone and carried a bouquet of pink and white hyacinths and maidenhair fern.
The bridesmaid, Miss Nora Brown (sister of the bride) was similarly attired and carried a bouquet of blue and white hyacinths. Mr H. G. Smith, brother of the bridegroome, acted as best man. Afterwards a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents where the usual toasts were honoured. The bride travelled in a clover frock, navy blue coat and hat. with shoes, handbag and gloves to tone.
