PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS. TO VISIT NEW ZEALAND. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. NEW YORK, August 21. Interest has been aroused by the announcement that the professionals, Budge, Vines. Tilden and Sloefen are to visit Australia and New Zealand. They will reach Perth from South Africa on January 9, and stay six weeks in Australia, playing two-day matches in the capitals. They wil] spend a fortnight in New Zealand.

Sir Norman Brookes told the Australian Associated Press that the visit would not affect the visit by American amateurs for which he was negotiating. He added that the United States Lawn Tennis Association viewed the proposal favourably. The personnel of the team would be decided after the national singles. He said the amateurs would compete in the Australian championships, adding that the Australian tennis public, in any event, was large enough to support two tours. BOSTON TOURNAMENT. MIXED DOUBLES TITLE. BOSTON. August 22. At the Boston tennis tournament Hopman and Miss Marble won the mixed doubles title, defeating E. T. Cooke and Mrs Fabyn (U.S.A.), 9-7, 6-1. DAVIS CUP. AUSTRALIA v YUGOSLAVIA. (Received This Day. 9.25 a.m.) BOSTON, August 22. The draw for the Australia v Yugoslavia match on Thursday is:—Quist v Mitic; Bromwich v Puncec. On Friday, doubles—Quist and Bromwich v Puncec and Kukuljevic. Hopman expressed satisfaction with the draw and confidence in victory.
