Half a million troops will participate in the forthcoming manoeuvres. King Carol, after a review marking the Crown Prince’s entry into the Navy as a Lieutenant, declared that the Rumanian frontiers, as now marked out, were unalterable except at the risk of world-wide disaster. The determination to defend them must be a steelclad faith in the soul of every Rumanian.
