AIR LINER CRASHES

A British Airways air liner, en route to Hamburg, crashed ablaze in the waters of the Storstroemmen (Norway). Four passengers and one mechanic were killed. The pilot, who was the only survivor, said the plane caught fire in midair and there was no choice but to alight, whereupon* the machine overturned and sank. Those killed included Mr A. C. Crossley, Conservative M.P. for Stretford. who was going to Sweden for a month's fishing.
