Mrs R. C. Drummond. Lansdowne, is visiting Wellington. Mr and Mrs C. Cameron Cook, of The Terrace, are visiting Dunedin. Mrs J. H. Tatham, Homewood, spent the weekend with Mrs H. McKay, Renall Street.
Miss Betty Payton, of Masterton, is returning home tomorrow after a visit to Australia.
Mrs W. Chamberlain, Gisborne, is staying with her mother, Mrs D. McGregor, Pownail Street. Mr and Mrs Walter Nops, who have been touring abroad, have returned to Masterton and are staying at the Hotel Midland.
Miss Lois Hosking, Church Street, who has been spending a holiday in Australia, is returning to Masterton tomorrow.
Mr and Mrs J. Mills and Miss Rachael Bennett, Eastbourne, spent the weekend with Mr and Mrs A. P. Bennett, Renall Street.
Miss Gilmour, of the Child Welfare Department, Wellington, is on a visit to Masterton and is staying at the Empire Hotel.
Recent callers at New Zealand House, London, included Mr and Mrs J. Andrew, Miss G. M. Carle, and Mr F. Long, all of Masterton, and Mr H. W. Dearie (Eketahuna), states a London exchange. After 13 years’ service as principal of Napier Girls’ High School, the resignation of Miss D. M. Arthur, on the ground of ill-health, has been accepted by the Hawke’s Bay Secondary Education Board.
