For the seventh successive season Heroic has headed the list of winning sires in Australia, his stock last season winning 100 races and £35,496 in stakes. That aggregate has been exceeded only by his own record in the previous season when his progeny won £53,213. The Buzzard was second with 104 winners and £33.523. Spearfelt was third with 1011 winners and £24,098. Beau Pore was fifth with 631 winners and £20.872. Chief Ruler was tenth with 24 winners and £12,923.
