LOCAL TEAM BEATEN. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Martinborough High School football and basketball teams journey--1 ed at Greytown yesterday. The visitors were victorious in all their matches, winning the A and B grade basketball ■ and the football. McLeod figured prominently in the Martinborough team and Barnard scored Greytown’s only try. LEAGUE OF MOTHERS ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Greytown League of Mothers was held in St. Luke’s Parish Hall yesterday afternoon, Mrs. Bull presiding. The meeting was a very happy one, members | taking a keen interest in the report of I the year's activities. The .following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, Mrs. A. L. Bull; vice-presidents, Mesdames Horton, Johnson and A. Haigh; secrcI tary, Mrs. Wiggins; treasurer, Mrs.; Knell; official pianist, Mrs. H. Carter; magazine secretary, Mrs. M. Greatj head; hospital visitor, Mrs. Benseman. The Rev. H. E. Harkness gave an interesting address on different phases of social welfare work with which he had been associated in his student days. The League Choir rendered two glees. As Mrs. Carter was unavoidably absent. Mrs. Greathead took her place as pianist. The hostesses for the afternoon were: Mesdames Kidd, Tully, Rees and Miss Kidd. LADIES’ GOLF COMPETITIONS DRAW. The following is the draw for a oneclub and putter competition, for Miss E.
