ANNUAL CONFERENCE. OVER 150 REMITS ON ORDER PAPER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The annual conference of the Fruitgrowers’ Federation was officially opened to day by the Hon W. Lee Martin. About eighty delegates were presided over by Mr T. C. Brash. The order paper contains over 150 remits. The visitors include Mr Rigg of the Cawthron Institute, and Mr Picot Dir-, ector of Internal Marketing. Members of Parliament from several fruit growing districts.

A resolution expressing regret at the illness of the Prime Minister and Mr P. C. Webb was passed with the hope that they may enjoy a speedy recovery.
