Herr Hitler is at present holding a conference in Berchtesgaden to discuss the military situation ih Europe. Leading army and political leaders are attending. EFFORTS INTENSIFIED MILITARY PREPAREDNESS IN GERMANY. (Received This Day, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON. August 8. The Berlin correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain says in order to accelerate preparedness, Army officers are giving 60,000 Hitler Youth leaders preliminary training. Every cinema will show films of the Siegfried Line. Petrol stations have been ordered to make increasing economies and additional lorries are being requisitioned for manoeuvres.
