TWO FEATURE PROGRAMME. “Hideaway Girl” and “John Meade’s Lady” will be shown finally at the Cosy Theatre tonight. A villain of even a darker hue than usual stalks the Arizona ranching country in "Renegade Trail,” latest of Paramount’s “Hopalong Cassidy” action dramas, showing at the Cosy Theatre tomorrow evening, In the person of a convict who breaks from gaol and joins a gang of cattle rustlers against his own wife and son. Russell Hopton, an experienced character actor both on stage and screen, is seen as the "heavy.” Others in the cast are William Boyd, who plays the intrepid “Hopalong Cassidy,” George Hayes and Russell Hayden, as Boyd's two saddlemates, and Charlotte Wynters, as the courageous woman rancher who calls on "Hoppy” for help. As an added attraction "Renegade Trail” presents the popular male quartet. “The King’s Men,” last seen in “St. Louis Blues." J. Edgar Hoover, chief of America’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (GMen), has another of his startling crime stories brought to the screen—- " Persons in Hiding," which is also showing.- With Lynne Overman. Patricia Morison, J. Carrol Naish and William Henry cast in leading roles, "Persons in Hiding" spotlights the fantastic career of a beautiful young girl who joins forces with a racketeer for thrills and a life of luxury. As would be expected from a Hoover story, the picture accents the methods used by young G-Men in tracking down the killers.
