ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

CADET DIVISION DANCE

The St John Ambulance Cadet Division held another of its very popular dances in the Masonic Hall on Saturday evening. The hall was tastefully decorated with rosettes fashioned to form the St John cross and black ana white streamers.

The music, which was supplied by Jack Barnes's Rhythm Boys, was thoroughly enjoyed by the large number of dancers present.

Owing to the unavoidable absence through illness of the usual M.C.. Mr Part Ward, this duty was very capably carried out by the Cadet Superintendent. Mr C. S. McQuade. The lucky spot fox trot was won by Miss Thelma Williams and Mr Frank Ford, while Miss A. Keisenberg and Mr L. McCracken were the winners of the Monte Carlo waltz. Vocal items were rendered by Mrs M. Curtin and much appreciated extras were played by Mr and Mrs C. Minific.

The ladies' committee deserve special praise for the very dainty and appetising supper provided. The next of these popular dances will be held in the Masonic Hall on August 26 when patrons can be assured of another good night's dancing.
