ST. MATTHEW’S CHURCH

SPLENDID MUSICAL SERVICE. The congregation that attended evensong at St. Matthew’s Church last night, were rewarded by another veiy fine musical service. The choir, under the direction of Mr Wm. C. Mann, with Mr A. Miller Hope at the organ, was at full strength, and some vcij inspiring singing was heard. The anthems and solos were chosen, and mention must be made of the excellent rendering by Mr G. V. Greer, of ‘ Open the Gates of the Temple." The final anthem. “O Praise God in His Holiness with a solo that was very beautifully sung, adequately summed up the mean’ing and purpose of the service.
