The above report was received'yesterday by the Meat Board, which advises that tne following are the ruling prices of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned and arc for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday. Chilled beef prices are averages of the week. All prices are on tne basis of delivered io Smithfield market. N.Z. prime ox beef, 160/ 2201 b, none offering. Compared with last week’s quotations, Down lamb, 28/361b, was l-8d per lb lower; 2nd quality lamb l-8d per lb lower; wethers, 56/721b, l-8d per lb higher; others unchanged. The lamb market is slightly easier all round, particularly for prime and 2nd quality lamb. The mutton market is steady to firm, particularly for wethers.
