CURRENT TOPICS FROM STABLE AND COURSE Wellington Winter Meeting SURVOY IN GOOD FORM KING REY IMPRESSES IN HURDLES SURPRISE WIN TO JACK TAR (By “CARBINE.”) The success of the Auckland horses in the jumping events was the outstanding feature of the opening of the Wellington Racing Club’s winter meeting at Trentham yesterday. Bridegroom repeated his Auckland success in the Hack Steeples, Jewelled Girdle scored in the Hack Hurdle race, Survoy was first home in the Wellington Steeplechase, and King Rey won the Trentham Hurdles.
