BIRTHDAY PARTY

CELEBRATION- AT FERNDALE. Visitors from Wellington and friends numbering over 50 gathered on Saturday night at Ferndale, the residence of Mrs E. Parnell. Masterten. to celebrate the 21st birthday of her daughter, Mrs May Tait of Wellington. All present spent a thoroughly enjoyable time, dancing and singing being indulged in. Subsequently Mrs Parnell presided over an excellent, and well laden, supper table, during which several speakers made reference to the excellent personal qualities of Mrs Parnell, and her daughter. The tables were then cleared away and dancing was indulged in. Those present greatly appreciated the excellent arrangements made by Mrs Parnell, and a willing band of helpers, for the enjoyment and also the effort of Mrs Parnell’s sons for having kept the proceedings moving in a happy atmosphere.
