/ WOMEN’S DIVISION. MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. The Eketahuna branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union held its monthly meeting in the Anglican Sunday Schoolroom, the president. Mrs C. Welch, presiding over a large number of members. Previous to the general meeting the new committee met and discussed among other business, a programme for the next three months. It was decided to ask Mr Bannister, of Masterton, to speak at the June meeting. The general meeting opened with the Creed, after which the minutes of the annual meeting were read and confirmed. Apologies were received from Mesdames Connor, Petersen, Clee, Macky, Golder and Brookes. At the request of Mrs Welch, the members stood in silence as an expression- of sympathy with the .relatives of the late Mr W. B. Matheson, and of Mr Manson, of Pahiatua. A vote of thanks was accorded to Mr O. Walton who audited the yearly bal-ance-sheet, to Mrs G. T. Allen, for reporting lectures and to Miss A. Anderson for making the cake for the recent Shop Day. Mrs Welch thanked the members of the Division for their help on Anzac afternon and said their willing cooperation had made such a successful and happy meeting possible. The hostess for the afternoon was Mrs Albrechtsen, assisted by several members of the committee. The delegates appointed to represent the branch at the annual conference in Wellington were TviGßuaFhes S. M. George and J. McAnulty.
