CHURCH SERVICES
The Vicar (the Rev E. J. Rich) will be the preacher both in the morning and in the evening at St. Matthew’s Church on Sunday, and the Rev. T. V. Pearson will take the services at Kunpuni. The members of the C.E.M.S. will hold the monthly service at the Public Hospital in the afternoon. The Rev. V. le C. Binet, a noted missionary, late of Choiseul, in the Solomon islands, will be the preacher and missionary deputation at the Methodist Church tomorrow evening. when he will speak on some aspects Gi~ ■ Methodist mision work in that island group. . The morning service will be conducted by the Rev. Frederick J. Parker. On Tuesday evening, in the church, a lantern lecture will be delivered by the Rev. V. le C. Binet, when the life, customs and progress of the former headhunters of the Pacific will be shown by means of many splendid slides. At the Kuripuni Methodist Church ' tomorrow, the morning service will be conducted by Mr W. Teeboon. and at 6.50 p.m. cars will leave for the town church. The Rev. J. M. Simpson will conduct the services at the Lansdowne Church tomorrow morning and evening. In the morning Mr Simpson’s subject will be the “Importance of Pentecost,” and in the evening "The Hands of Jesus.” The Rev. D. McNeur will take the Presbyterian services at Mauriceville, Kaiparoro, Eketahuna and Alfredton tomorrow. The services at the Salvation Army tomorrow will be conducted by Major and Mrs Mahafl’ie. Mrs Mahaffie will be the speaker in the morning service. The Major will give the address in the evening service, and his subject will be “God's Gift to a Perishing World.” All are heartily invited to the Army’s services.
